End of Spring Cleaning

In the midst of my quarterly cleaning, I have unearthed items I haven't seen in months or years. I'm all about "If it has a tag or haven't worn a particular item in the last year, let it go!" This then allows for new inventory for my closet. The last round of clothing and house goods went to the Salvation Army. This next round of clothing will be dropped off at a homeless shelter for teens. They are always in need of clothing, and this way someone can get the clothes for free instead of purchasing them.

During the spring, I have ordered three new pairs of shoes. Did I need any more shoes? No, but got them anyway. Two of the shoes have already arrived now just waiting for the last order. This last pair will be added to my 60 plus collection of shoes. I need a new shelving system to take the shoes out the boxes so I can see them and actually wear them. I will review the two pair I received so far and post an update once the next pair arrives.

Sperry Topsider Ladyfish in Barley Suede

These are really comfortable and versatile. I have been spying these since I saw them in the fall 2010 magazines. Then I spotted them at Journey's and was hesitant to buy them since they were over a hundred bucks and summer is approaching. i'm so glad I waited because I purchased them from their website for $59.99. While they still have sizes and a promo, is selling them for $36. I'm too lazy to return mine back to the Sperry Company but great mark down. The boots are warm and can be folded down as shown in the below picture as a sneaker style. I can't wait to wear them. There is one Con: order a half size down if you wear thin socks.

Pour La Victoire Mapple in Black

I have been looking for a basic black pump for months that I could wear with anything. The PLV are a little bit dressier since there is the leather and lace but due to the shoe being all black I can get away wearing them with skinny jeans. I ordered them from Amazon since they had the lowest price of $116 from $298. I walked around and they felt a bit cramped. I debated if I would keep them and try to break them in. No, I returned them the same day and ordered a half size up. I received the shoes the next day. They were still a little fitted but the design of the toe box is narrow. After walking around they felt pretty good. They are gorgeous and I'm looking for my next pair. Can't wait!

Well that is all until the final pair of shoes arrives hopefully sooner than then the company anticipated delivery date.
Until next time!

Happy Graduation to Me!!

Hello everyone!
So last month I graduated college and I'm off to grad school. Before heading off to start my new chapter in life I awarded myself with some wonderful gifts. I managed to score Minnetonka Janice boots for $49.99 at Journeys. My next stop was to the Coach store and purchased a walnut Ashley satchel for $115 with a logo wristlet for $20. My last stop was to H&M. I love there store. Anyway, I got too many items but my highlight purchases were tan pocket shorts for $12.95 and purple fringe sandals for $24.95. The color and style of the sandals remind me of Christian Louboutin Change of the Guard pumps.

I'm happy with my purchases and will be ready this July when classes begin. I will be mentally and fashionably prepared for anything that comes my way. Hopefully these items will help bring inspiration to your next shopping spree. A side note...Congrats to all 2011 graduates!
Until next time!

What I'm loving now

Hey the heat wave is finally here so here come some pretty new items to add to my collection.

Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

I love that his shoes are so quirky. Here are a few that caught my eye

Ohara $132

Rockin White Architectural $162
Skate Cutout Wedge $198

Clothing: BCBG Max Azria

I do have a bias towards the company since I worked for them, but I love their designs. Their summer day separates would complement Campbell's shoes perfectly.

Tovah Striped Lacy top $188

Sheryl Perforated Faux-Leather skirt $148

Dixie crop top $88
Tobyn Tribal Print short $148

These are a few selections to get you started on your next shopping spree.
Until next time!
