Auto Show

I had such a busy weekend; I haven't had time to update anything. Well anyway, I went to the Auto Show and checked out all the new and improved vehicles. Ford was the main focus this year, with the Ford model Focus being the best re-designed car out of the whole show! There were a couple new cars that stood out as well, but for car familiarity, hands down the 2012 Ford Focus would win.
I love the style of the car compared to its predecessors since launching in 2000. The front grill has undergone a total revamp, with the exterior being more roomier and comfy compared to the previous model. The overall look is more streamlined and curvy, which brings eye appeal. Good job to the design team for this much needed revamp.
Some other cars I noticed were my usual sport and exotic cars. Lexus now have a sport car which is beautiful. Anything sleek, curvy, and fast is my kind of car. The Auto Show displayed a bright yellow 2-door Lexus coupe, which I would LOVE to get behind the wheel for a few laps.

New York Fashion Week Febuary 9-17, 2011

Oh how I love the when fashion week approaches. All the latest styles for the up coming season is such fun! The latest trends, colors, and styles will come from our bi-annual ritual. Front-row celebs, socialites, and the newest crop of front-rowers are "Bloggers." We are the ones who give the opinions of what us regular folks like to mix & match and feel what will complement what we already have in our closet.
I'm excited to see BCBG Max Azria (A little bias since it is one of my former employers), Derek Lam, Monique Lhullier, Yigal Azrouel just to name a few. I'm excited to see all the lines, because clothing is an extension of our personalities and it's wonderful what these creative designers have thought of next.
It's pretty hard to get tickets unless you are invited, buy tickets to the AMEX seating, or volunteer. If I wasn't in school I would be on the next flight helping out. I hope one day to finally experience Fashion Week in person. To experience in person I couldn't compare anything to it in the fashion world...

    Golden Globes 2011 Review

Not really crazy about the emerald green long sleeve Versace dress Angelina Jolie wore at the Golden Globes. Maybe in a peach or nude color would have been a better choice.
Anne Hathaway wore an Armani long sleeve high neck dress in nude, which was similar to Jolie, was a more suitable, with an elegant sexy touch.
I loved the Vera Wang red bustier trumpet dress Sophia Vergara wore. Very sexy and el caliente!
January Jones wore a red fringe Versace dress which she saw on the runway in Blue. Risky, but gorgeous! (The black closed-toe should have been nixed for a strappy nude heel.)
Eva Longoria black dress with the cut-out back, cinched waist with the dramatic billowy train was simple yet stunning.
The nude sweetheart flowing dress Sarah Hyland wore was lovely and complemented really well.
I am not a fan of Halle Berry Nina Ricci black short corset dress with the sheer train. If the dress was either short without the train or the train closed I think would be a better choice.
Christina Aguilera nude, black lace strapless Zuhair Murad dress was gorgeous on her, which hugged her new curvier body.
Leighton Meester Burberry Porsum blush long sleeve slit-to-there gown was very elegant and she pulled it off with her encrusted strappy Jimmy Choo heels. Loved it!
Olivia Wilde strapless chocolate Marchesa dress with stones encrusted all over was a little prom-like, but Loved the gold Christian Louboutin booties!
Milla Jovovich silver off-the-shoulder criss-cross mermaid dress with stones sprinkled throughout was stunning!
Sandra Bullock Jenny Packham one-shoulder sprinkled encrusted gown was breath taking. Very old-Hollywood glamour.

    My 60 cent purchase

I went to H&M today and they had some great markdowns of $15 and under. I bought a long sleeve blue top that is a little longer in the back. I can pair it with any of my BCBG  Max Azria belts. Equestrian style olive green   pants which complements the top very nicely. I bought a ivory multi-color weave bangle and set of earrings with light blue ribbon bow and faux pearl dangle earrings all for a whopping 60 cents! I received two cards $5 each last month which was great. A outfit that was originally $36 to 60 cents is the least amount I have spent in a store.
I also got a pair of elbow length finger-less mittens in cream for $7 from $39 with a birthday coupon!
I love bargain shopping. I'm still upset that the peep-toe ankle boots at Aldo that I've been spying since September is still full price. Will you please markdown my wishlist boot so I can add it to my shoe haven!

    My latest finds

I'm really trying hard not to shop this year. At the end of December I purchased three pair of shoes at DSW so at least I got them at a reasonable price. I bought a pair of black Chinese Laundry sheer booties I've been spying for the last few months. My second purchase was a pair of black BCBG oxford style sling heels. My last purchase was camel Steve Madden spectator wedges. Of course they're all over 4 inches and peep-toe which I love! I can't wait to wear them, but of course it is now snowing. Once the snow isn't covering the sidewalks I will pair them with warm tights and take pics of my latest finds. Can't wait!!
